A Taste of Bahamian Cuisine
No matter where you go and how much fun you are having there, the saying, "there is no place like home" is one that I believe to be true. So when we were given an assignment to re-create a menu, I decided to do something indigenous, something that would remind me of home. I used the menu of The Pink Sands Resort's, Blue Bar. Hope you enjoy!

Anticipation
I am who I am. I am Keesha Claudia Bethell. A descendant of Africans and of Honduran Indians. My name defines me in every which way: Keesha - alive and well; Claudia - disabled or lame; Bethell - House of God. That being said, I am a jovial individual. However, if out of touch with my Christian roots, I am unstable - self is lost. I am a very determined person. I do whatever is ethically and legally possible to get what I want. Failure is my greatest fear in life. My family is my everything. I love them, both young and old with all my heart.
When it comes to this Communications 210 class, I don't know what to expect. All I know is that my goal is to do all that I can do to get 100 percent. Why? Because I am a hard-worker and when I put my mind to something, I do it. From this class, I will gain all the knowledge possible because it has always been instilled in me by the village that raised me that "knowledge is power". I was taught that you should take in as much as possible because that way, you will be able to take part in any conversation.
I embrace this opportunity and I am ready to learn something new. Besides, isn't life an on-going process of education?
